She’s in my face, under my skin, and monitoring my every move. I’d ditch her at a rest stop without a second thought—if she weren’t the only thing standing between me and total career annihilation.
Probably doesn’t help that she hates me. Or that I wrote a multi-platinum song villainizing her that we still play at every show.
Could I be a little nicer? Sure, but I hate her too. At least that’s the lie I tell myself every time I glance her way. The problem is, I can’t seem to keep my hands off her—and neither can my drummer.
It wouldn’t be our first time crossing swords with a woman, but the rules are different now—and breaking them feels a lot more dangerous.
Too bad attraction doesn’t care about rules.
And neither do rockstars.
