Middle Passage

To avoid an impending marriage and unscrupulous bill collectors, Rutherford Calhoun, a newly freed slave and irrepressible rogue, jumps aboard the first boat leaving New Orleans. However, it is a slave ship bound for Africa. Thus begins a voyage of horror and self-discovery.
