The Ballerina's Secret Alibi
(2026)(The fourth book in the Pru and Pip Private Investigators series)
A novel by Jinty James
Nothing comes before ballet … apart from death!
A beautiful ballerina. A demanding teacher. And a murder that leaves everyone dancing around the truth …
Small-town assistant librarian Pru and college cheerleader Pip are looking forward to an evening of Swan Lake. Pip’s friend Gemma is dancing the coveted role of the White Swan, and tonight should be her moment to shine.
Until her ballet teacher is found dead backstage …
With Gemma quickly becoming the prime suspect, her dreams of performing are suddenly in jeopardy. She insists she’s innocent—and turns to Pru and Pip for help.
The amateur sleuths dive headfirst into the competitive world of ballet, where rivalries run deep and everyone seems to have something to hide. But the closer they get to the truth, the more dangerous their investigation becomes.
Then a threatening note appears on Pru’s car.
Someone knows they’re asking questions. And they’re determined to make them stop.
When Pru, Pip, and Teddy—their adorable Coton de Tulear sidekick—are lured into a terrifying confrontation with the killer, they’ll need every bit of their courage and ingenuity to escape!
Can they expose the murderer before another life is ruined—and solve the case in time for Martha’s long-awaited watch party? Her self-made retired lady detective drama is finally premiering on a streaming platform, and she absolutely refuses to miss it!
Packed with suspects, secrets, friendship, humor, and a dash of danger, The Ballerina’s Secret Alibi is a fun, clean, dog cozy mystery that will keep you guessing until the final curtain.
Join Pru, Pip, and Teddy for their most thrilling case yet!
