March is usually quiet in Sevenoaks, Vermont, but not this year. The town is buzzing with excitement. Olivia Williams, a romance writer with a huge following is coming home to celebrate the release of her latest book. And not only that, the book, Birds of a Feather, is set in a Vermont town just like Sevenoaks. Her fans are assembling, the local bookstore is hosting a book signing, and The Bluebell Café is hosting a celebratory dinner.

What could go wrong?

Everything.

Before she has so much as autographed a book, Olivia is murdered, and all signs point to one of her oldest friends as the killer. Harriet and Claire know that Ruby is innocent, but can they get Isaac Strickland, the detective on the case, to see things their way? Not likely. He thinks they’re an irritating nuisance, and that’s before they get him riled up. It doesn’t help that Claire and Isaac went on a date a few years back, and he doesn’t remember her fondly.
There’s no shortage of suspects. To everyone’s shock, Olivia was scathing in her comments about some of the townspeople. But who was angry enough to want her dead?

Birds of a Feather is a small-town mystery full of quirky characters, tasty food and lots of laughs.
