My First Hood Love with a La'Roux Thug
(2022)(The first book in the My first Hood Love with a La'Roux Thug series)
A novel by Khadijah J
What happens when two people who have sworn off love experience an exhilarating moment while on vacation.
Brixton La'Roux, one of the most powerful sought-after men in the streets, never felt so strongly about a woman. After one night with the chocolate beauty, La'Reiya Young, he was hooked. While both have had their fair share of a rough upbringing, they've beat the odds stacked against them. Still, life has made them guarded. While La'Reiya has an icebox for a heart, Brixton has an electric fence, brick wall, and two pit bulls guarding his.
After their vacation, they go their separate ways until nearly a year later, when they cross paths again. La'Reiya and Brixton quickly find themselves in a dangerous game called love. It's only dangerous when dealing with a man as powerful as Brixton. However, when lines become blurred, a familiar feeling of betrayal quickly causes chaos to erupt. When the fire extinguishes, will these two learn to love each other, or will the betrayals be too far to come back from?
