A Final Song for Grace

The Great and Terrible War is over. The worst pandemic in history is passed. 2/3 of the world's population is gone in a matter of two years. Now, under a group of 50 dictators who call themselves the Guardians, there is one-world government. No religion. No praying or open belief in a Supreme Being. In this world lives firefighter Lucas Garland, who in his off time runs a zoo known as Garland Farm, where he keeps a number of animals native to the area that used to be called Idaho.When one morning a hugely over-sized skunk comes running to him for protection from a pack of feral dogs, it sets off a chain of events in Lucas Garland's life that will change his existence forever. When the skunk, whom Lucas names Grace, and some of the feral dogs and other animals begin to show human characteristics and abilities, and the largest earthquake ever to shake the continent is passed, a human-animal rampage begins that no one in the Uni-World has ever prepared for.Lucas Garland and Grace are at its epicenter.
