When three fishermen vanish along the Salmon River, and the bones of a human arm and hand end up on the rocky shore, all eyes turn toward old Anastasia Falkenrath.
Anastasia makes her home in an abandoned mine on the far side of the Salmon, and dark rumors have circulated around her for years. Could it be that the jerky, bacon, and packaged meat the old woman sells in an empty lot in town really include parts of people who vanish mysteriously along the river?
Then there is Morty Downer—as simple-minded, goofy and lovable as he seems? Or is Morty hiding sinister secrets only the river knows?
