Some secrets are better left buried. Especially when they come with a body.
Jeanie Jennings is finally settling into life at Three Wishes Bakery—baking cupcakes, keeping her former life as a genie to herself, and trying very hard not to get mixed up in another murder.
Then her rescue puffin, Houdini, finds something hidden inside the bakery.
At first, it looks like nothing more than an old piece of Wishing Cove history.
Then a dead body shows up.
Detective Hank Morgan takes over the murder investigation, but Jeanie can’t ignore the strange connection between the victim, her bakery, and a secret that may have been hidden for generations.
And when hydrogeologist Hollis Reed realizes the clue may be connected to the groundwater beneath Wishing Cove itself, the mystery takes a turn Jeanie never saw coming.
With Houdini once again sniffing out trouble and old secrets refusing to stay buried, Jeanie may be about to discover that Three Wishes Bakery has been keeping secrets long before she ever arrived.
Come for the Cupcakes.
Stay for the Secrets. Murder. And one very cute, nosy puffin.
Genre: Cozy Mystery
