Cost of Valor is a novel based on a true story of survival, and brotherhood in the biggest aviation operation of the Vietnam War. Focused on one unit in the battle, the 48th Assault Helicopter Company. Ride with the crews as they press the attack to deliver South Vietnamese soldiers to their final objective in Laos, and then their efforts to get the South Vietnamese out when they are surrounded. Feel the pain of losses and the concerns for families back home. Laugh at the warped sense of humor that these young men had under these trying conditions and how they relieved the stress of constantly being shot at.
