~Excerpt~

"Put on whatever music you like. Try to forget I'm here."
Fat chance of that. Jenny walked across the room and chose a reggae station playing vintage Bob Marley. He wanted to see how she could move, huh? She could do that, Right now she was in the mood to stir it up.
Jenny closed her eyes and emptied her mind. She let the music wind its way within her and move her body of its own volition. She flowed to Bob Marley's rhythms. Stir it up, little darling, stir it up. It seemed a mere second later that the song ended and she opened her eyes. She was panting slightly, and moist with sweat like a woman who'd been well loved.
Jared was staring at her, mesmerized. The fingers of his left hand were clenched around the camera. She smiled. Was he ready for her?
He swallowed hard. Real hard. "That's enough for today," he said with a husky timbre to his voice. "I got some good shots. Thursday at the same time?"
"How long will this take anyway? Is it an involved, long, and hard process?"
"Hard enough." He moistened his lips. "It'll take weeks. I'm going to redo the armature." He glanced toward the wire skeleton. "I might make some small figures of what I want the finished piece to look like. I'll start on the statue itself when I get that done."
"Are you going to fire the clay? How do you get enough intense heat to something that large?"
"No, I don't fire it. I'll keep it moist and wet while I work on it."
"Mmm," she said.
"Uh. I have an appointment in a few minutes." Was that an edge of panic she heard in his voice?
"Guess I better go then," she said.
"Thanks." Jared didn't meet her eye.
She patted his hand and he flinched. "I'm enjoying this," she said. "I can't wait to come again soon."
