After a gig at a country dance hall, Danny, a saxaphone player with an Irish showband, sees a gang of assassins murder his band's manager and an innocent byestander. Chancing upon one of the assassins, Danny shoots him and from then on, he becomes entranced by the forces of destruction which come to dominate his life.
