Some storms bury the past.
Others force you to dig it back up.

Eight years ago, a single night shattered my life. My boyfriend died in a car accident, and the man responsible was supposed to be his friend. I stood in court and relived every unbearable second as I testified against him, certain justice would finally give me peace.
It didn’t, because justice never came.
So when a freak avalanche traps us together in an isolated mountain cabin, surviving the storm is only the beginning. With no way out and nowhere to run, the chemistry between us becomes impossible to ignore, and so do the truths we’ve spent years burying.
Grief doesn’t always tell the whole story.
Soon I’m forced to admit that things aren’t as simple as I’ve always made them out to be. Life is messy and complicated, and being trapped in a one-bedroom cabin when the heat goes out —and when he looks as tempting as he does — only makes it worse.
But falling for him feels like betraying the memory of the man we both loved, so we agree that once the storm passes, what happened in that cabin should stay in that cabin.
We agree we can’t do this.
For a while, we stick to it. But when he shows up outside of my house one night with longing in his eyes and words I can’t ignore, I realize I have to make a choice: betray the man I once loved by falling for his friend, or betray myself by letting him go too.
Decisions, decisions.
