It contains both original poetry and poetry in translation from many of the marginal or disappearing languages of the world, including Hungarian, Greek, Icelandic, Catalan and Turkish. There is also lengthy essay exploring the value of writing in Shetlandic. An English translation is included for the essay and all of the poems.
