You never know who you can trust...

It's just another day in Berlin. As dawn breaks, three men in different parts of the city ... three close friends and colleagues in a giant spy network ... begin to prepare for the day's routine assessment. Their task is to collect a roll of microfilm from the Eastern Zone. Jim Gallagher and his wife, Joan Okada Gallagher, make the most of their morning together while the children sleep. Kept in the dark about Jim's missions, Joan accepts the need for secrecy. But she knows that, when it's time to run, it's time to run fast! Brian Ramsey, a thirty-five year old British citizen is in bed, already dressed. Not smoking, reading, or checking the time... just simply lying in bed, waiting... Further north, fifty-five year old Burt Wager was busy writing a letter whilst drinking his morning coffee. All three were ready... all three were experts and knew their work well...

So how could the day end under such horrific circumstances?

When Gallagher becomes suspicious following a dinner party at his house, he makes his way to Wager and Ramsey. Wager is killed, and Gallagher badly injured. Washington take over and move Gallagher and his family. They are in immense danger and going home to California is not an option. Harry MacNeal is put in charge of ensuring their safety. Taken to a safe place, the family feel safe. But Gallagher knows it's just a matter of time before they go on the run again. Ramsey's secret link to the K.G.B. comes as a surprise. On a mission to bring Gallagher down, he stops at nothing!

Tragedy strikes ... and Ramsey is at the heart of it. With nothing left to lose, Gallagher breaks away from the ranks to take Ramsey down himself ... it's a race between the initiator of the Torso plan and himself. Like Ramsey, he will stop at nothing...
