When Allie returns to Merope after an emergency trip to the Caribbean, the island is in disarray. People missing. Ghosts gone. And there’s a goat cartwheeling down the main street, thanks to a freak windstorm. She has an inkling it’s not natural. It’s raining seawater, for starters.

As Allie searches for answers, she discovers there’s more than one mystery in play. To make matters worse, her go-to source for cakes and paranormal information is closed for the foreseeable future—a future that is depressingly short, according to Allie’s sister.
