If ever there was an example of 'Revenge being a dish best served cold', it was in this story. I really enjoyed this novel, although it did take a while to get into, as I didn't particularly warm to the characters (a successful family of business entrepreneurs living a celebrity lifestyle). Carla, daughter of Eva, is caught up in a mystery she doesn't yet understand. It does however, take an unexpected twist in the middle, when you discover why someone is stalking the family. At this point, we find out about Kate, the victim; for instead of supporting her best friend in a crisis, Eva took the cowardly way out to protect her family, ending in a most heartbreaking betrayal. This book turned into a credible, exciting thriller, with good examples of how traumas effect mental health and I really enjoyed it.
