Nolan and Paloma Sullivan-Díaz are getting ready to ring in the holiday with their three children, but neither of them can let go of the nagging feeling that something is off between them.
To most of their small Christmas town, Nolan and Paloma have a picture-perfect life; they are in love, have a beautiful family, and a thriving candy shop. However, since the birth of their last child, Paloma hasn’t been able to bounce back, mentally and emotionally, as quickly as she did after her first two pregnancies. In an attempt to be a loving, doting partner, Nolan has gladly taken on more of the family and business responsibilities to give her time to rest, to heal. He never expected that to create more distance between them, but what Paloma needs isn’t space. It’s her husband.
With only a couple of days until Christmas, and a few weeks into Paloma’s therapy sessions, both of them are determined to reconnect this holiday seasoneven if that means having to discuss some things they’ve been avoiding for months, including a confusing argument that has left them walking on eggshells. When her sister offers to watch the kids for the weekend, it gives them time to reconnect in more ways than one.
Nolan and Paloma both know that this marriage is exactly what they want, but can they find their ‘new normal’ together?
