Third baseman Justin Maddox’s career never really got off the ground. He’s still got some hot sauce on his throws to first, but at thirty, getting around the bases fast is another thing entirely. At the end of the season he's got a decision to make: keep trying for the majors, or go in a different direction? It doesn’t help that the beautiful, curvy woman whose company caters for the team is a constant distraction.

Caterer Olivia Wilson loves her job, and she was thrilled to get the contract to provide game-day meals for the Rivertown Rowdies. Usually she would just make the nutrition-conscious meals and set them out for the players, but there’s this one guy she keeps running into—like, all the time—who keeps inviting her to stay for the game. She says she’s too busy. But a memorable encounter with Justin on the greenway changes her mind about watching him play.
