No sex, gore, or profanity.

(And--spoiler alert--yes, dear reader, no dog dies in this book, either. :) )

EDITORIAL REVIEWS

The author keeps the promise — no dogs die. That's important to me, now that, thanks to Dawn, I'm a dog owner. And I know the woman's work. She keeps her promises, but always leaves herself a loophole, and she didn't say anything about people, did she? I should have been prepared. I wasn't, even after all Dawn's foreshadowing throughout the story. When the Last Will and Testament scene came along, that almost had me flipping to the end before reading further ...just to make sure. I didn't, but it was tough. The longest book in the series yet, this one is filled with both wit and outright rescue trauma. It's strong on character, realism, and, here's a warning for anyone on a diet, the food scenes had me wanting to bolt out the door to the local grocery store. —L. L. Alexander, freelance editor

I have so been waiting for book 3. I learned a lot about things I never cared about before and didn't think I would ever care about. But I do now. I think I also fell in love. —Kimberly Clarke, reader of K-9 mysteries

I adored the laughing dog, Oso. I so admire Jessie and her dedication. I think the PTSD is actually making her tougher. I can't wait till Book 4 comes out ...which, because I have a Beta Reader's inside seat, I know is in progress. Write faster. More, please. —Sarah Yarborough, mystery reader
