Everyone in town wants a piece of Mr. August. Everyone, that is, except me.

He’s a former college football player, the high school’s ridiculously hot football coach, and the newest guy to grace the pages of our town’s charity calendar.

And apparently, he knows exactly how good he looks without a shirt.

Unfortunately for me, my bookstore is the official home of the Man of the Month calendar signings, which means I’m stuck playing hostess while half the women in town line up for his autograph—and a chance to flirt with the man attached to all those muscles.

He doesn’t seem to mind the attention. What he does mind is that I couldn’t care less.

Suddenly, Mr. August is spending an awful lot of time hanging around my bookstore, flashing that cocky grin and doing everything he can to get a reaction out of me. I’m determined not to give him the satisfaction.

Except somewhere between the teasing, the flirting, and all that time together, I start to realize there’s more to him than a pretty face, a killer body, and his reputation on the football field.

And the more I get to know the man beneath the calendar-worthy abs, the harder it becomes to remember why I was resisting him in the first place.

Maybe this football coach has finally met his perfect match.

Maybe this time, he’s playing for keeps.

PLAYING FOR KEEPS is a fast-paced, small-town, instalove romance featuring a cocky former college football player turned high school coach, a bookish single mom who is completely unimpressed by his charm, plenty of forced proximity, lots of laughs, and all the steamy goodness you expect from a Man of the Month Club romance.
