Welcome to the Crescent Valley Lunar Festival. It’s a mystical town that only appears during a lunar eclipse, and there’s more than celebration behind the veil.

Astrid, Oscar, and Claudia are looking forward to a little R&R when Astrid’s cousin is implicated in a murder. The reluctant sleuths are pulled into a world of unrequited love and dangerous magic.

The problem is an underground society is running a dangerous game from the shadows, and Astrid is determined to play the winning hand, even if it means making herself the target to draw them out.

Still, asking for help isn’t Astrid’s strong suit, and just when things seem under control, the killer comes out of nowhere and strikes harder than anyone expects.

Oscar has to play things by the book, but his loyalty to Astrid will bring him into the game whether he’s in his jurisdiction or not. Astrid and Claudia learn that even though they don’t like the game, they’re damn good at it. It’s just that fate keeps dealing them in, and they aren’t willing to let the killer play with other people’s lives.

The catch: Astrid and Claudia may have to bet their own lives.

Take your seat at the table and put your poker face on—The game is about to begin.
