Meg Daniels's fiancé Andy Beck was last seen on a Friday night headed home on a dark highway in the Pine Barrens of New Jersey. When he doesn't arrive, Meg isn't willing to sit back and wait for the police to finish their investigation. She goes in search of information but ends up traveling around the Jersey Shore with a rag-tag group of Andy's friends. Friends or alleged friends is the question as volunteers come to join the search. Is he gone because someone liked him too much or too little? If she wants to bring Andy home, Meg has to decide which "friends" to trust.
