After securing a tiny slice of dwarf heaven on a mountain in the woods, Brandt and his new friends would like nothing more than to be left in peace to smelt, forge, and sell. Unfortunately for them, the world around them has no such inclination.
As the denizens of his former world begin to infect his new one, Brandt is forced to deal with them bringing about the change that Jade warned him they would. They disrupt the peace, overstep their bounds, and generally make nuisances of themselves...
all while not even performing the bare minimum that might have been expected of them.
A new friend appears, followed swiftly by new enemies. What will become of the tiny village and simply mountain smithy when the King himself starts paying them attention?
