KARA KOOTSTRA has always enjoyed the game of hockey, encouraged by her father, an established hockey coach. A graduate of the University of Windsor, she has also always enjoyed writing. She lives in Windsor, Ontario, with her husband and her two children. The Boy in Number Four is her first book.
