The year is 1945, the Furhrer is dead and his followers are fleeing Berlin for their lives. All save one: Standartenfurher Hackmann, Martin Bormann's principal SS aide. Hackmann knows that the last Melmer gold shipment has been sent by Bormann to the Fuhrer's mountain refuge, the 'Eagle's Nest' in the Bavarian Alps. Bormann wants to use the looted gold for his own purposes. Hackmann, the fanatical Nazi, has other ideas: the gold will be smuggled out of the dying Reich to South America, where it will be used to finance the Fourth Reich.
