When Julian Jamieson begins to have some very strange dreams about marriage to a bride with no face, he knows that the rather unusual inhabitants of Castle Bishop are making their presence known. Is it a warning that he has to be careful whom he marries? Should he follow through with the urge to go and see the only woman he can think of who is eligible for the role of his wife? When he does make his intentions clear, Julian is met with humiliation. His return home, however, brings a surprise that leaves him questioning not only his sanity but the future he thought was mapped out for him. With spooky goings on, and a serious of mysterious misadventures bringing him into closer contact with Tabatha Maguire, his Housekeeper's daughter, can Julian keep his hands to himself? Will the inhabitants of Castle Bishop continue to work against him? Or will Tabatha prove to be his undoing? Just when he starts to think he has his life back under control, a ghost from Julian's past throws all his carefully laid plans into turmoil once more. When the ghostly goings on turn sinister, Julian faces a race against time to catch the person, or persons responsible, before he ends up losing Tabatha forever.
