Have you ever wondered how on earth two people can be together for fifty years? It seems like a miracle to me and I’m living it.

In
Love Honour and Annoy, I try to figure out how Peter and I have survived such a long partnership. We met, by chance, in 1970 and despite me getting cold feet and postponing the wedding for a year, we got married in 1976 and embarked on this incredible journey together. Spoiler alert: it hasn’t all been love and roses. We’ve annoyed each other intensely a lot of the time, but we’ve also been best friends, produced three amazing children and found our way through the bad times.

This memoir doesn’t reveal the secret of a perfect marriage, but our stories will make you chuckle and you’ll see why, despite everything, we're better together. It is a humorous and heartfelt reflection on life and marriage, from the perspective of a seventy-one year old woman, who feels she’s only just getting started.
