(2026)
(The fifth book in the What Lies Adventure Mystery series)
A novel by

Hank Huffman, a social recluse and amateur radio enthusiast, needs the help of the Baker and Debord team to confirm a suspicion. It seems his ever-listening ears have intercepted enough information to suspect there is more going on down Copperhead Road than the Clem family's moonshine empire.
With local law enforcement none the wiser and paid off with cash and hooch, the unlikely trio of Josh, Eddie, and Hank have to sniff this one out on their own.
That goes bad right away as the backwoods traitor they call Longbeard intervenes in their investigation but confirms Hank's suspicion — a mountaintop recruiting and training facility right there in their beloved West Virginia hills. Preying on impressionable and socially isolated runaways, this pre-jihad organization is set up to weed out the best from the worst, and the unusable recruits will simply end up on the "north side of the hill".
They confide in their good friend, Governor Billingsworth, but after feeling shunned even by the Gov, they realize there is a rat in the mash somewhere.
Not only do they have to choreograph a rescue mission, they need to sort out the players and distinguish between friend and foe. This one will not be easy... but they never are.
Remember,
Be careful wishing for big adventures...one may find you!
