Ryker Hayes has found some peace, but something inside tells him his quest isn't over.
With the threat posed by the orcs gone and the whispers of war reduced to distant murmurs, Ryker and the women at the Magic Touch Inn feel as though they're entering something of a golden age. Indeed, business is booming despite everything, and they have a powerful new ally in the form of the Elven duchess Elmielstra.
But that isn't to say Ryker has no problems. He needs to figure out how to use his magic hands to restore Darina Muchmilky's powers, for one thing. And then he needs to find a way to respond to rumors that he is Ivan the Scourge in hiding. Brook also seems to think that he hasn't yet fulfilled his purpose in Werifesteria, whatever it might be.
Ryker doesn't care much about that. He's happy to spend his time with the people he loves, be they demonkin, orc, elf, or catgirl.
If only it were that simple.
