Trading his glorious merfolk hair for human legs was supposed to be the hard part. Surviving falling in love with an absolute disaster of a pirate captain is another story entirely.

Silverfin has spent ages secretly stalking his favorite pirate. Not in a creepy way, but a deeply romantic, ‘watching him dramatically brood through portholes at midnight’ kind of way. Captain Hawk is everything Silverfin has ever wanted: terrifying in battle, devastatingly handsome, tragically heartbroken, and unfortunately, entirely, human.

When Hawk’s inner darkness drives him to throw himself into the sea, Silverfin does the only reasonable thing a merman can do. He rescues the drowning captain, steals a single, unconscious kiss, and strikes a bargain with a sea goddess to trade his glorious merfolk hair for a pair of human legs. Stranded aboard the Orca under the sharp, extremely suspicious eye of the man he’s hopelessly obsessed with, Silverfin constructs a flawless plan: win Hawk’s heart, deliver him a legendary treasure galleon, and definitely do not reveal he’s secretly a creature of the deep.

Unfortunately, Hawk is a self-destructive menace with a death wish, and the crew thinks Silverfin is completely unhinged. His only ally is his ex-mermaid sister, but she’s got her hands full navigating her own chaotic romance with her feisty red-headed lady-love.

To top it all off, Silverfin might have technically cheated the sea goddess out of her end of the deal... and she is definitely coming to collect.

Yet, the wrath of the ocean is nothing compared to the fragility of Hawk’s heart. Beneath the armor of swagger and rum, Hawk is still bound to the memory of the man he lost. As their profound connection deepens into something undeniably real, Silverfin faces an impossible choice. He has to convince Hawk to finally leave his grief at the bottom of the sea, all while knowing that if his own hidden identity is exposed, the fragile trust they've built will shatter forever.

Silverfin: The Little MerSir is a queer pirate romantasy filled with found family chaos, hidden identities, sea magic, hurt and comfort, emotional healing, bonus sapphic romance, high-seas adventure, possessive yearning, explicit heat, and one extremely judgmental crab.

Perfect for fans of the witty, queer and maritime energy of Cat Sebastian and the intense emotional healing and explicit spice of K.J. Charles.
