The Groom
When Barbary Coast breaks his leg at the Kentucky Derby, the number one racehorse in the world can't be saved. Coast's groom and vet Sarah Fisher, plan to save the horse, but they can't do it alone. Since artificial insemination is not allowed in thoroughbred racing, forty samples of the horse's semen is extracted by the groom who uses it as payment to his childhood friend, Brooklyn mobster Jack Verducci in exchange for his help. Jack, the groom and Sarah successfully smuggle Coast from his stable, but once Jack's Brooklyn mob gets wind of the forty specimens valued at eighty million, a crew is dispatched to take possession of them and leave no witnesses. With the stakes now life and death, Jack has no choice but to take horse, groom and vet on a wild, cross-country ride to escape his own crew.

Retired Naval officer Gus Sevens spent a decade researching the lost gold of Victorio Peak before setting out to find it, along with his much younger wife and newly acquired assistant. In the canyons of New Mexico, after weeks of searching, they find the ninety bars of gold that had been missing since 1937. Their cause for celebration quickly turns sour when, upon arriving home in Miami Beach, Gus' wife is kidnapped and the ransom is the gold. In an attempt to save his wife, Gus is thrown into a plot of deception and betrayal that ultimately ends in murder.
