Boredom is more than a science…it’s an art.John is a banality demon—he exists to elevate the drear, drab, and dull. He’s one of the best in the business, able to transfix ancient vampires, evade supernatural slayers, and make people lose their memories through the power of boredom. It’s not just his job, it’s his calling.
Lately, though, John has been experiencing a debilitating bout of creativity. His work no longer makes people want to lie down and take a nap; it’s more likely to send them screaming for the hills, and has on several occasions. That’s the sort of thing that gets the attention of Corporate Headquarters, and they’re not happy. Not happy at all.
John has one last chance to recapture the sense of tedium that made him what he is. If he can’t, then he’ll be shipped back to corporate and never seen again. Lucky for him, he’s got a friend in Dodge Michaels, Supernatural CSI. Between the two of them, they’re hatching a plan to get John’s mojo back.
If he survives that long.
