The Revenge of King Charles

(2025)
A novel by

King Charles II is known for enjoying life at court.

But now he craves revenge on the regicides who executed his father.

On returning to England, after nine years' exile in Europe, the King instructs Robert Grimston, the aristocratic nephew of an influential supporter, to hunt down his enemies, no matter where they are hiding.

The assignment causes Grimston to travel across England and Europe - encountering Roundheads, self-serving officials and women of questionable virtue as he does so.

Grimston must succeed. If not, then the regicides may return and attempt to execute another king.
