Book 4-The Problem Professor

A Roaring Twenties closed-room train mystery and another whodunit for college librarian and amateur sleuth Doro Banyon.

After spending the summer with her parents in Colorado, Doro plans to enjoy a luxurious respite in posh surroundings on the train trip home. Traveling with her best friend Aggie and her grandmother adds to her enthusiasm until an accident occurs, and part of the train must be left behind. Hours later, a quarrelsome passenger is found dead. As the news spreads, apprehension stalks those stranded with the unknown killer. Passengers and crew grow apprehensive. Who murdered the victim and why? Pressure to solve the case ensnares the young women in the tangled web of lies and secrets surrounding the victim.

Book 5-The Bottled Bootlegger

A local bootlegger killed. Doro's would-be sweetheart undercover to investigate. And Doro searching for him when he disappears.
Doro is excited to step out with Everett Mallow, campus security officer and deputy town constable, on their first date. The perfect evening ends on a sour note when a local bootlegger is murdered and his wife disappears. That leads to Ev temporarily returning to the Prohibition Bureau, where he goes undercover with bootleggers—much to Doro's dismay, especially when he vanishes. Determined to find him, she convinces her best friend and the town constable to search for Ev in the speakeasy where he was last seen. Relief fills Doro when Ev is on the dance floor. Joy follows when he takes her into his arms. Both emotions are short-lived because, fearing for her safety, he wants her out of harm's way pronto. When they step outside, a rival gang attacks the speakeasy and gunshots riddle the air. Can Doro and Ev both survive long enough to crack the case?
Book 6-The Doomed Doctor

When two crimes mar a campus celebration, Doro, Ev, their friends, and doggie detective Tee go sleuthing.

With the Roaring Twenties in the rearview mirror, life in small-town America begins to change, but Doro still has her hands full. As head of the planning committee for her college’s Founder’s Day, she juggles multiple roles with her usual aplomb until a theft and a homicide interfere. A figure from the past complicates the case, especially when he is found dead. Then, she and her team investigate what may be their most challenging case yet.
