I’m a guy who loves to be in love.

Until I met her.

She’s gorgeous—the epitome of a knockout.

But she’s a little psycho.

She doesn’t use dressing on her salad, and God knows what other quirks she has.

Not that I’ll get to discover any of those before I walk down the aisle.

For a guy who wants nothing more than to be married, I sure am having second thoughts about this wedding.

Of course, it doesn’t help that it’s more of an arrangement than an actual case of wanting to get married.

I didn’t get to get down on one knee or skywrite some romantic poem to her while asking for her hand in marriage.

There was no weeklong romance where I took her out on magical dates and saw her face light up with laughter.

Nope.

This was just a case of saving the damsel in distress.

That’s right. I rode in on my white horse and saved the day.

There was no kiss to wake her up from a dreamless sleep.

No saving her from a tower.

I just had to get married, and that was the end of it.

Oh, and be a stepfather to her kid, who happened to hate me.

I was pretty sure the little four-year-old was going to off me in my sleep.

But it was going to be fine. Totally fine.

I was a man, after all. I could totally handle this.

I just really wanted that romantic wedding.
