Anna – She had a happy childhood. It was just her and her father, as her mother had passed away when Anna was just a baby.
A quiet and reserved woman with a fear of babies, she had lived contentedly with her father after her mother's early demise. However, the whispers of being an "old maid" began to haunt her, and the invitations dwindled. Desperation led her to consider a radical solution – becoming a "mail-order bride."
Thomas – He was very thankful for his sister-in-law!! As a recent widower, with a tiny baby, Thomas was overwhelmed. His brother and sister-in-law were a godsend!
