THE RED ARMY HAS CONQUERED EUROPE. NOW THE ALLIES MUST STOP IT.

The year is 1947, and the Third World War has reached its most dangerous hour.

After smashing through Germany, the Soviet armies stand before the newly restored Maginot-Siegfried defenses, while farther south, five Russian armies descend upon Italy and the resurrected Gustav Line. Former enemies now fight shoulder to shoulder as American, British and German soldiers desperately attempt to halt Stalin's seemingly unstoppable advance.

In Asia, MacArthur's victories have shattered the Soviet invasion of Korea and carried American forces toward Manchuria and Vladivostok. In China, a reconstituted Japanese Army pursues the retreating Russians and Mao's Communists beyond fallen Peking, toward a desperate stand among the ancient fortifications of the Great Wall and beyond. In the Middle East, Allied armies prepare new offensives of their own, both in the Caucasus and the central socialist republics of the USSR.

Meanwhile, deep inside the Soviet Union, Otto Skorzeny continues a mission that could prove more dangerous to Stalin than an entire army, as he attempts to return to the West and deliver the atomic secrets he has discovered to the Allies.

From the mountains of Italy to the Great Wall of China, from the fortresses of Western Europe to the heart of the Soviet Union, the struggle expands into a worldwide inferno as both sides prepare for the next decisive phase of the war.
