It took years for me and my team to track down the lord of darkness. The kingdom had fallen, the realm was fractured by war, but we found him and delivered justice at the cost of my life. As I closed my eyes, mortally wounded, I thought it was the end... Until I suddenly woke up 30 years in the past.
Now I'm back among the towns and forests I used to call home, in the body I had in my mid-twenties - and the lord of darkness's legendary weapon, Spirebound, is lying in the grass right next to me.
The war hasn't even started yet, and the realm doesn't need saving, so I've got plenty of time to myself. I'm going to build the life I should have built here, catch the eye of the beautiful woman running the local weaponsmith's, and spend some time with the gorgeous water-nymph woman who lives by the river.
And if any monsters or bandits just so happen to try their hand at causing trouble in the local area? Well, it's a good thing I've got the most powerful weapon in the kingdom on my side.
But peace doesn't last forever, and I'm going to get ahead of the terrors of the world before they even have a chance to spark a flame. All I have to do is infiltrate the royal palace and secure a place among the high-society morons who accidentally put the kingdom on a path to war - and make sure I steer the realm in the right direction.
