Death in the Stars

Everyone thought Edward Mansfield was dead; he had left his daughter in the care of his friend, Andrew Quaritch, and disappeared. Sixteen years later, Mansfield appears at a dinner party and shoots John Horn in mistake for Andrew, who he suspects is 'King Pin' - a racketeer. When Mansfield is subsequently a witness to Andrew's murder, he sets out to prove who committed it and to unmask 'King Pin'.
