My mother always told me to stay on the path when it came to traveling from village to village. Otherwise, bad things can happen. Normally, I listen to her.
After something catches my eye and I follow it, I get lost. While wandering around, a small slip-up ends with a sprained ankle and a bruised ego. With no hope of getting home, a shift happens.
I get found by the beast. He must’ve had his eye on me before. How else could he have found me so easily?
