A vision of death
When Tom Brook signs up for a creative writing class, he has no idea what he's let himself for. The teacher taking the class, only known as The Professor, is a legend in the town, arriving once a year to introduce a select few to new ways of thinking. Bored with his life and aching for adventure, Tom finally gives in and puts his name in the battered ballot box: the wooden contraption covered with names of previous students who've either vanished, or been altered by the experience.The rumours of madness and visions don't put Tom off. In fact, they fire his imagination into overdrive, hoping that the rumours are true ... of a place only accessible via the imagination ... where battles are fought and legends are made.
