Rae's Mountain Man
(2026)(The fourth book in the Firefighters of Harrow Valley series)
A Story by Roxy Lush
Twisting my ankle in the library storage room was embarrassing.
Falling for the quiet firefighter-paramedic who came to my rescue?
That was dangerous.
I came to Harrow Valley to build a library that felt like home.
Then Holt Beck answers my call and wraps my ankle with steady hands, warm fingers, and the kind of focus that makes me forget I’m sitting on the floor with paint chips in my hair.
He is calm.
Precise.
Unshakable in a crisis.
And completely unprepared for someone who sees the man beneath the uniform.
So I give him pie.
Then books.
Then enough silence to let him speak.
Holt keeps returning to my library with no professional reason—and I keep finding reasons to let him stay.
I should be careful.
He knows how to rescue everyone except himself.
And I’m beginning to want more than this guarded mountain man knows how to give.
If Holt wants me, he’ll have to risk more than his life on a call.
He’ll have to risk being known.
Rae’s Mountain Man is a steamy small-town romance featuring a curvy librarian, a quiet firefighter-paramedic, a rescue-call meet-cute, emotional healing, found family, he falls first, and one guarded mountain man learning how to let someone in.
Genre: Romance
