Thea's Mountain Man
(2026)(The third book in the Mountain Men of Harrow Peak series)
A Story by Roxy Lush
Sharing a bed with a quiet, grumpy mountain man was not part of my plan.
Neither was wanting him for three months.
I came back to Harrow Peak with no room, no plan, and no good excuse.
One night.
One detour.
One chance to find out whether Callum Ridge felt the same current I did when his hand closed around my wrist at the solstice.
He’s an ex-military search-and-rescue man with steady hands, dark eyes, and a code of honour so rigid it might as well be load-bearing.
He’s also my ex’s best friend.
Which means he has spent three months not calling, not touching, and definitely not looking at my curves like he already knows exactly how I’d fit in his bed.
Unfortunately, Harrow Peak has no rooms left.
His spare room is freezing.
His couch is too small.
And his bed is the only practical solution.
We’re adults.
That’s what I tell myself.
But there is nothing practical about lying inches away from a mountain man whose control is one breath from breaking.
Callum says all the right things for a man who has already been waiting for me.
But when this careful mountain man finally kisses me, it doesn’t feel like a mistake.
It feels like a decision.
I should be calculating the safest way out.
Instead, I’m thinking about what happens when a curvy engineer who measures every risk
Finds the one mountain man worth crossing the line for.
A steamy one-bed mountain man romance with a curvy engineer, forbidden best friend’s ex tension, forced proximity, and an honour-bound ex-military hero who falls first.
Genre: Romance
