Everyone in Bannock knows Robbie MacDonald is trouble. I see him as my next adventure.
My plan was simple: return to my Highland hometown, teach English, catch up with friends, and fix up my crumbling flat. Things get complicated when I stumble across Robbie splitting logs in low-slung jeans and nothing else--tattoos on display, biceps bulging.
He's off limits for more reasons than I can count, not least because my brothers hate his guts. But when my attempts at DIY go spectacularly wrong, I hire Robbie to help. If that gives me extra time to ogle him? That's just a bonus.
Flirting gets me nowhere at first, but I'm nothing if not persistent. Eventually, he lets his guard down… and it turns out his eyebrow isn't the only place he's pierced.
It's all just fun and games, until he's accused of something serious, and the town turns on him.
