As reporter Millie Morris, 29, holds two cantaloupes to her chest in place of her God-given grapes, she makes eye contact with a gorgeous guy in the produce section of the local grocer. The magic dies when Millie ducks behind the kiwi to avoid contact with her ex in the vegetable section.

Things don't improve the next day when Millie rides smack into a tree during a bike race. At least a knight in shining Armor All - a passing trucker - whisks her to the first-aid station. Life takes a positive turn when a bride places a huge cupcake order at Millie's mom's shop - The Secret Lives of Cupcakes - until the bride turns out to be fierce local lawyer, Laura Fracas, the woman who slept with Millie's boyfriend and now wears his engagement ring.

Luckily, Millie's buddies at the cupcake shop, and even that passing trucker, form the wrapper that holds Millie's crumbling cupcake of a life together. Temperatures rise well above 350 when Millie's ex pesters her for advice and confides his doubts about marriage, but the icing on the cake comes when Millie must report on a headline-grabbing case in which Laura Fracas is the defense attorney.

Wending her way through this complicated recipe called life, Millie must make a choice: continue in her half-baked state of existence or finally rise above it.
