Last month, I made the decision to take the Elders’ magic and all the crazy that goes with it. Now, I am one of the protectors. Cool, right? But unfortunately, I can’t shapeshift as I am supposed to, and things are heating up around here. There’s a series of break-ins in town and a professor at my son’s university was murdered. When Sebastian hears about a link between the strange happenings in town and the college murder, he is adamant he needs to see the crime scene. As we begin our investigation, evidence piles up that suggests the professor’s gruesome murder might be the deed of the sorcerer. But even worse: now he has an accomplice among our ranks.
