Ruairi Calbraith has been living in shame and guilt. Years ago, his twin sister married a man from an enemy clan to end a feud that Ruairi had accidentally started. Now the two must work together to survive and somehow find their way back to the Highlands.
Through more hardships than anyone can imagine, Ruairi and Kenna will develop a unique connection, and the hardened Highlander has to admit that without the brilliant help from Kenna, he would not have survived. However, the most significant challenge yet awaits them at their homeland. Ruairi is undoubtedly a changed man after ten years away from home, but his time with Kenna has given him something he has been missing; a reason to look forward to everyday.
Kenna's only concern is that now it might be too late as his enemies are closing in, trying to make sure that the Calbraith name will die with Ruairi.
