Like most people, autumn is my favorite season. What’s not to like? Vibrant colors swathe the landscape. The breeze is crisp, and of course, who doesn’t enjoy sitting around a bonfire with a cup of hot cocoa or a glass of cider?
In the wake of summer’s busyness (I call it the summer squeeze): family picnics, vacations, weddings the list goes on and on, autumn is the season of harvest; a season of reflection and gratitude. However, autumn also ushers in the holidays. So, before the chaos begins, this is a wonderful time to slow down, sit in a cozy chair, or take a walk and reconnect with God. It is an opportunity to harvest His beautiful grace extended to all of us. I think autumn may just be His favorite season, too.
