Nothing in life comes easy for John Red Feather. Half-White, half Comanche, he was born of two worlds and wanted by neither. Determined to find his own destiny, he'd carved out a life for himself among the peaceful Hopi tribe until trouble came. Trouble in the form of Water Dancer, notorious Apache warrior.

In the Apache lodges, the women sing of Water Dancer's courage and prowess. The old chiefs say he's a man no bullet can kill. He's roused the Apache nation for battle against the hated bluecoats, the white settlers, and anyone else in his path. The Army can't even find him.

Red Feather swore an oath to put Water Dancer down. An oath he's willing to die fulfilling. He'll guide the Army to the Apaches, and in return, he'll get his chance to test those old chiefs' claims. He's got more than one bullet ready for the renegade.

High praise for Western author Carson McCloud:

I was unable to put the book down. Carson McCoud is in the Zane Grey mold. Look for more from this author.

For years I have read many western writers books looking for someone who would describe the landscape and scene as vividly as Louis L’amour. I have found that author in Carson McCloud.
