Blood Lines

Post-war midwife Maudie Rouse has her hands full tending to the pregnant, sick and injured villagers of Llandyfan, acting as their counsellor, and preparing for changes as the NHS comes into existence - including the possibility of being forced to move away from the people and the job she loves. The call of duty is never far away, even when she tries to steal a private moment with Constable Dick Bryant. Then a fortune-teller is found murdered at the village fete, and Maudie and Dick team up to search for answers...
